In a report from the Manila Times the author outlines how many Filipinos tend to want to spend their money on something other than oral hygiene. Well, this is not just the case for them, as many people in the West would rather buy a cool new gadget or clothing.
In the quest to put a lid on bad breath, tests over 30 years have found that chlorhexidine provides a lot of protection against the bacteria that cause stinky breath.
Compared to a cheaper alternative, called hexetidine, it worked 8 times better at killing the bacteria.
