Animals lovers will love these new little cures for bad breath, as reported in the Chicago Sun-Times…

Americans are an animal-loving bunch. Of those of us with pets, nearly 44 percent own dogs. A Lake Zurich-based company is betting these pooch people will jump for Blizzard’s Bones, a new line of bone-shaped mints designed to freshen human kisses.

These sugar-free numbers, created by entrepreneur Leslie Lipowski, are named after her yellow Labrador retriever, Blizzard. The mints are packaged in easily portable metal tins that feature portraits of bulldogs, Malteses, golden retrievers and mixed-breed dogs. The company donates 5 percent of each tin’s sales to local and national animal rescue groups and charities. Each collectible tin sells for $4.95; find them at Chicago area retailers including Marshall Field’s downtown Chicago, Lake Forest and Oak Brook stores, Animal Feeds & Needs in Arlington Heights, and The Dog House in Long Grove.

Blizzard’s Bones may not solve your canine’s doggie breath, but they’ll certainly sweeten yours.
